Sports and leisure activities in Les Contamines

The exceptional location of Les Contamines-Montjoie, at the foot of the Mont Blanc, makes it one of the most snow-covered resorts in the Northern Alps. Situated between 1,200 and 2,500 meters of altitude, the resort offers 120 km of ski slopes for all to enjoy.

Alpine skiing

The ski slopes cover over 120 km. The resort offers 48 runs served by 24 lifts ranging from 1,100m to 2,500m altitude. More than 213 snowmakers complete the natural snow cover. In the heart of the village, 2 special " beginners" areas have been set up on the slopes of The Loyers and The Nivorin.

Nordic Ski

The Nordic area boasts 25 km of maintained slopes. Around 80% of the skiing area has regular snowfall supplemented by artificial snow.

The resort also has one of the approved biathlon stadiums which hosts competitions throughout the winter.

Footpaths and snowshoes trekking

Various areas of Les Contamines Montjoie are designed for you to walk with or without snowshoes. Trails are specifically marked and maintained departing from the Nordic Park ( Parc Nordique).
