You will be shown to your room. Owner Renee Mermoud greets each guest personally and makes sure they are comfortable in every way during their stay at the Gai Soleil. While we have carefully and lovingly preserved the traditional mountain character of the hotel, we have also included all the benefits of modern living: all of our 19 rooms are equipped with bath or shower, hair dryer, toilet, direct phone, modem plug. The hotel also provides a ski room with a boot dryer.

You might then want to relax in the garden in the cool, fresh air, among various trees and flowers, trickle of the fountain and the profound tranquillity.

Children can play on the swing set... they are close enough to keep an eye on but set back from the garden to maintain the quiet air...

or, in winter build a snowman by the outdoor Christmas tree !

Later in the dining room, you will enjoy dishes that marry haute-cuisine with local products and recipes. Didier, our chef of seven years, is known in the valley for his outstanding cooking. Once a week, guests can gather at a community dining table for typical Savoy dishes such as cheese fondue, « tartiflette » or « farcement » prepared in the tradition of the Mermoud family. Our waitstaff have been with us for years and get to know our guests during their stay.

After dinner you might want to relax fireside in our cozy family room before heading to your room for a good night's sleep.
