Just a stone’s throw from the village center, there’s a place that vacationers discover… and locals never really leave: Le Pontet. A real life-size playground in Les Contamines-Montjoie, this corner of greenery is the ideal getaway for a simple, active and gourmet day out, summer or winter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fine weather, the Lac du Pontet lake becomes the heart of the leisure park. People come here to relax on the grass, dip their feet in the water or simply enjoy the view of the peaks. All around, activities follow one another: tennis, mini-golf, accrobranche course, skatepark, pumptrack, children’s games, multi-sports fields… there’s something for everyone. Families appreciate the freedom of the place, sports enthusiasts the accessibility, and locals the opportunity to spend “just an hour”… which often ends up being a full afternoon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When and how?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In terms of opening hours, most outdoor facilities are open all day during the summer season. Supervised activities (mini-golf, tennis, accrobranche) generally run from late morning to late afternoon. Budget-wise, the spirit remains family-friendly: expect to pay a few euros for mini-golf, around ten euros for supervised activities, and free admission to the relaxation, games and picnic areas. The best deal? Bring your ball and towel and improvise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food for thought<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

And then there’s the unmissable food break. With summertime snacks, ice creams, cold drinks and sharing boards, the atmosphere is always friendly. You can have a quick bite to eat, sit out on the terrace and enjoy a coffee while the kids go off to play. The locals know the drill: arrive early for the picnic, stay for the snack, finish with the aperitif. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
