In the mountain village of Les Contamines located at the foot of Mont-Blanc, the Gai Soleil Hotel is located in one of the most magnificent valleys in the French Alps.

In the heart of this natural landscape, you'll find the Gai Soleil Hotel . Our charming hotel was once our family’s farm in the mountains. It has been renovated with care and furnished with an aim to preserve all its rustic character and warmth.

The Gai Soleil Hotel is conveniently located near the center of the resort yet is nestled in its own garden of trees, alpine flowers and a gently bubbling fountain. You can relax among the various flowering trees and wild berries growing in the summer and enjoy the warmth of the full sun on the terrace in winter. From the hotel you’ll find a spectacular view of the Montjoie valley.

The Gai Soleil Hotel also provides a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere indoors. Come unwind by the fireside where mountain life slide shows are offered. We also have special “fondue” evenings that will surely warm you up after a day of skiing!

Multiple activities await you: nature walks and hikes facing the Giant of the Alps, discovery of the Nature Reserve, mountain biking, rock and mountain climbing, as well as visits of baroque churches and chapels in the area, or touring around the Mont-Blanc. We will be happy to provide you with contacts and information for all these activities.
